Bermuda grass seeds must have a thin soil covering to germinate correctly. It’s best to rake down the area you plan to seed, and then when placing the seeds, be sure that you lightly cover each one with soil so that they’re about ¼ of an inch deep.Once seeded, rake lightly over the area to promote better soil contact. Although Bermuda grass requires little water, fresh seeds will need daily watering until the establishment is more apparent.Quick Tip: While its establishment rate is slow, Bermuda grass does have an aggressive spreading habit.
