Roundup Turbo – 1ltr KSh3,000 Save:KSh5(0%)
Description

Roundup Turbo is the most economical and effective way to handle really widespread weed problems and delivers all the weed-control power you need to the root so they won’t come back.

It is a non-selective weedkiller with nonresidual effects. This provides benefits to growers in the form of reduced storage and packaging waste.

Roundup Turbo is a non-selective, translocated weed killer that is absorbed by leaves and freshly cut, woody surfaces and moves throughout the entire plant, above and below ground, to control annual and perennials weeds,  including grasses and deep-rooted perennials weeds. It also controls standing trees, newly cut tree stumps, tree saplings, brambles, bracken, nettles, Japanese knotweed, and other tough and woody weeds.

You may see some visible yellowing of the leaves and stems after 48 hours. But that’s just on the outside – on the inside of the weed, the systemic action takes Roundup to all the weed’s growing points to kill the weed from the ‘inside out. Most importantly, because Roundup kills the roots, you know that the weed is not coming back. This easy mix liquid concentrate formulation is approved for use all around the garden, on gravel areas, paths, drives, and along fences.

It can be used to clean up weedy areas before planting vegetables, flowers, shrubs and to renovate overgrown areas. Apply by sprayer or a watering can be fitted with a very fine rose. Roundup Turbo is inactivated on contact with the soil and is then broken down by micro-organisms in the soil to allow re-planting. Children and pets can play in the treated area once dried.

Active ingredient Roundup Turbo

It contains 480g glyphosate acid/L (in the form of 480g/L Glyphosate – Isopropylamine salt) in water-based concentrate. Reduced dosage is needed due to higher concentration, thus less chance of weed resistance.

Directions for using Roundup

The application is based on the low volume-low pressure principle which results in a reduced risk of non-target crop injury in contact with the herbicide.

After tilling, early weeds are allowed to emerge, then Roundup Turbo is sprayed at the recommended dosage rate after the emergence of the first weed. Crops can be planted 24 hours after spraying (active ingredients would have been taken up by the weeds).

Knapsack spraying:                              1000sq m per 20L.

Ground spraying equipment:            70-150L spray solution per ha at low pressure.

Precautions when using Roundup
  • Spray on target weeds
  • Not to be sprayed in windy conditions (above 15km/hr).
  • Do not allow spray mist to drift onto desirable vegetation.
  • Use slightly alkaline water with buffer (ammonium sulfate) to dissolve.
  • Spray actively growing weeds before planting (increases absorption at a lower rate).
