This is the first fruit fly pheromone as a male attractant in Kenya, Bactrolure to manage the Bactrocera fruit fly complex. This is a product mainly sold to small-scale farmers in rural communities growing fruits such as mangoes in Kenya and other parts of Africa.

Bactrolure is recommended for catching fruit flies in Mango, Guava, Banana, Papaya, Capsicum Tomato, Brinjal, Apples, Peach, Melon, Pawpaw, and other fruit crops where fruit flies are problematic.

 

Fruit flies are commonly detected in many regions in Kenyan farms and are attracted to trees with fruits. Using this luring system is the only way to naturally contain and eradicate fruit flies from your farm.
