This is the first fruit fly pheromone as a male attractant in Kenya. It targets the mango fly.
The liquid Para pheromone that contains 98.9g/l of ac�ve ingredient methyl eugenol and 50%w/v malathion. The
associated oshothion insec�cides contains malathion that kills the flies primarily through contact a�er landing on the
impregnated lure.
Uses of Bactroclure
It is used together with lynfield trap.
Application rates
4 lures/acre (minimum) for monitoring.
10 lures/acre for mass trapping.
