Cocopeat Blocks are a multi-purpose growing medium made from the pith inside a coconut husk which makes it naturally anti-fungal and an excellent choice to start seeds.

Cocopeat is an ideal planting medium to obtain better germination rates of your seeds compared to that of normal soil. Can also be used for growing and raising potted plants.

Cocopeat Blocks is an excellent soil-less medium for excellent seedlings and plants growth.

Our cocopeat is ready for use for potting and germination of vegetable seeds purposes.

In case of further treatment:

• Soak in plain fresh water to hydrate the cocopeat blocks (note that it will expand upto about 3 times its original weight)
• Soak in a solution of calcium nitrate (CN) for between 12-48 hours to displace the sodium ions in the medium (1kg CN in about 20 liters of water)
• Rinse in fresh water, about 2 to 3 times while draining the excess water and your cocopeat should be ready for use

In case no treatment is required, soak in fresh water to first hydrate the cocopeat block, drain the excess water and it should be ready for use.

For seed germination, place the media in seedling trays, slightly compress then plant a single seed per hole.
