Meltrack – Fruit Fly Trap (hormone/attractant)

Meltrack is a lure containing an insecticide and a strong attractant for male Bactrocera cucurbitae (Melonfly) species. The block(hormone/attractant/lure) should be used in combination with a trap.

How does Meltrack – Fruit Fly Trap Work?

Once outside its original sealed packaging, the Meltrack – Fruit Fly Trap will start releasing its attractants over a period of six weeks. This will attract male fruit flies, which will then touch the block and die from the contact insecticide. Replace after 6 weeks.

How to use Meltrack – Fruit Fly Trap Hormone?

The bait station is placed at a rate of 10 traps per hectare (4 traps per acre) at about 30 cm above the ground. Hang the bait stations within the tree canopy on the shady side of the tree, at least 1.5 meters above the ground. Replace after 6 weeks.

Meltrack – Fruit Fly Trap is a pesticide. Personal Protective Equipment such as rubber or latex gloves should be used when handling the Bactrocera hormone.

Storage and Disposal of Meltrack – Fruit Fly Trap Hormone

Store the Meltrack – Fruit Fly Trap hormone in its tightly closed original packaging in a cool, dry, and dark place. The shelf life of Bactrocera hormone is 12 months from the date of manufacture. Store pesticides are always out of reach of children.
