How Sevin Pet Dust Works
Sevin pet dust and similar pesticides containing carbaryl overstimulate an insect’s nervous system, eventually making it impossible for the insect to breathe. An insect must eat or touch carbaryl in order for the pesticide to be effective. Sprinkling Sevin pet dust powder around beds, homes, garden plants, trees, or atop anthills, directly where insects have been spotted, could get rid of problematic insect colonies in the treated area.
